These warm and durable mittens are named after the Higgins Stream, which fueled the original Bartlett Mill in Harmony, Maine.which was established in 1821. They are knit with Bartlettyarns 2 ply classic New England wool available in many colors. The thumb gusset is large and round for a unrestricted fit and the left and right mitten are interchangeable.

This pattern also features instructions for a fingerless version.

These mittens can be made in any of the Bartlettyarns 2 ply colors. If you prefer a different color than the selection allows, please leave a comment at checkout of the color you prefer, and we will make your kit!

Sizing:

Cuff/Circumference: 7-8-9 inches.

Cuff Length: 2 1/2” or desired length.

Hand Length: 5 1/2”-7 1/2”-8 1/2” inches or preferred length.

Palm Circumference: 7-8-9 inches.
